Maintenance and maintenance of die-casting molds during non-working periods

Publish Time: 2024-04-02
A) After the mold has been used for a period of time, before removing it for storage, important dimensions should be checked and the mold parts that need to be repaired or replaced should be noted.

B) After confirming that there is no damage, clean it thoroughly, check whether there is any residual material in the cavity, whether the material channel is clean, and whether there is any strain on the parting surface, top block, and slider working surface.

C) The surface of the cavity must be carefully inspected. If rust or scale is found, it must be polished again.

D) After cleaning the cavity, apply anti-rust oil to prevent rust. Preservative materials are best applied to surfaces at room temperature to prevent adverse effects of temperature changes.

E) The auxiliary supporting devices of the mold should be sorted out. If necessary, some devices can be disassembled, sorted and arranged neatly, marked and placed with the mold to avoid damage or loss during the loading and unloading of the mold.

F) Before placing the mold in the storage location, clean the residual cooling water in the mold and the residual oil in the oil pipe, and then use the locking plate to fix the movable mold and the fixed mold to prevent opening.

G) Degreasing the mold cavity must be carried out before the mold is reused.

H) The mold must be stored in a flat, dry, clean place that is easy to lift and carry. Storage should be classified, and molds for the same product should be placed together.
